    Plant Out

    25 Mar to 24 May

    Plant young plants around 25th March - 24th May in a sunny, free-draining spot. Set them at the same depth they were in the pot, space them apart, and water in thoroughly straight after planting.

    Water Until Established

    24 Apr to 22 May

    Keep the soil evenly moist from 24th April through 22nd May while the roots settle. Water at the base in dry spells, especially in containers, but avoid leaving the compost sodden.

    Deadhead Flowers

    8 Jul to 27 Sept

    Start deadheading from 8th July and keep going until 27th September. Remove faded blooms back to a side shoot or leaf joint to keep the plant flowering for longer.

    Cut Back Stems

    13 Sept to 27 Oct

    After flowering finishes, cut back tired stems from 13th September to 27th October. Leave the crown intact and trim to tidy growth rather than cutting hard into the base.
