Introduction

Welcome to When To Plant Ltd. ('we', 'us', 'our'). These Terms of Service govern your use of our application, which provides location-based planting schedules, garden management tools, and collaboration features. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these terms.

User Accounts

To access garden tracking features, you must register an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration. You may delete your account at any time via your profile settings.

Subscriptions & Payments

We offer two tiers of service:

  • Gardener (Free): Includes access to 1 garden and up to 10 active plants.
  • Allotmenteer (Paid): Includes unlimited gardens, unlimited plants, and collaboration features.

Billing: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing to the Allotmenteer plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly).

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing cycle.

User-Generated Content

Our service allows you to create gardens, log activity, and upload images.

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you create. However, you grant us a license to host, display, and back up this content to provide the service.
  • Service Improvement: You agree that we may aggregate and anonymize data from your garden logs (such as planting dates or harvest times) to improve the accuracy of our planting guides and data models for all users. This data will never be personally identifiable.
  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You agree not to upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on others' intellectual property.
  • Storage: Images are stored using third-party providers (Cloudflare R2). While we perform backups, we are not liable for data loss.

Collaboration

The Allotmenteer plan allows you to invite other users to your gardens.

  • Roles: You may assign roles such as 'Editor' or 'Viewer'. 'Editors' can modify your garden data. You are responsible for the actions of users you invite.
  • Sharing: By inviting a user, you acknowledge that they will have access to the specific garden data you have shared.

Intellectual Property

The "When To Plant" application, including our calculation methodology, plant database, and design, is owned by When To Plant Ltd. You may not copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer our code or content without permission.

Disclaimers & Liability

Nature of Advice: Our planting schedules are estimates based on historical weather patterns, climate data, and location averages. Actual growing conditions vary by season and microclimate.

We are not liable for:

  • Crop failure or poor plant performance.
  • Inaccuracies in weather data or scheduling calculations.
  • Loss of data or service interruptions.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in illegal activity, or misuse the platform.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our service evolves. Continued use of the service signifies acceptance of the new terms.
