What to do through the growing season

    12 Apr to 10 Sept Optional · repeat every 3 weeks

    Sow from 12th April to 10th September. Sow a fresh batch every 21 days.

    After each sowing, water in hot, dry weather from 12th April through 25th October.

    Harvest Leaves

    7 Jun to 8 Nov Dates as each sowing reaches this stage

    After each sowing, pick outer leaves from 7th June and leave the centre. Keep picking through 8th November.

    • A cloche from autumn can keep plants picking later.
