    From 14th April, put light stakes or mesh in before the plants start to lean. Add support early rather than waiting for stems to bend.

    Water and Feed

    From 17th March to 8th November, water during dry spells. If the soil is poor, give one light balanced feed as flowering begins. Avoid overfeeding.

    Cut stems from 9th June as soon as the flower heads open. Keep picking through 8th November. Cut early in the day and put them straight into water.
