    1 Mar to 30 Apr

    Plant young plants around 1st March - 30th April in a sunny, free-draining spot. Set them at the same depth they were in the pot, space them apart, and water in thoroughly straight after planting.

    Water Until Established

    31 Mar to 28 Apr

    Keep the soil evenly moist from 31st March through 28th April while the roots settle. Water at the base in dry spells, especially in containers, but avoid leaving the compost sodden.

    Deadhead Flowers

    14 Jun to 27 Oct

    Start deadheading from 14th June and keep going until 27th October. Remove faded blooms back to a side shoot or leaf joint to keep the plant flowering for longer.

    Cut Back Stems

    After flowering finishes, cut back tired stems from 13th October to 26th November. Leave the crown intact and trim to tidy growth rather than cutting hard into the base.
