    21 Dec to 19 Feb

    Plant young plants around 21st December - 19th February in a sunny, free-draining spot. Set them at the same depth they were in the pot, space them apart, and water in thoroughly straight after planting.

    Water Until Established

    20 Jan to 17 Feb

    Keep the soil evenly moist from 20th January through 17th February while the roots settle. Water at the base in dry spells, especially in containers, but avoid leaving the compost sodden.

    Deadhead Flowers

    5 Apr to 3 Dec

    Start deadheading from 5th April and keep going until 3rd December. Remove faded blooms back to a side shoot or leaf joint to keep the plant flowering for longer.

    Cut Back Stems

    19 Nov to 2 Jan

    After flowering finishes, cut back tired stems from 19th November to 2nd January. Leave the crown intact and trim to tidy growth rather than cutting hard into the base.
