25 Nov – 25 MarFrom 25th November, keep the bed or pot just moist if the weather is dry, but never wet. In heavy soil, add grit or grow them in containers from the start so the bulbs do not sit in waterlogged compost.

19 Mar – 3 MayWatch for flowering around 19th March - 3rd May. Tulips make good cut flowers, so you can pick stems as the buds begin to colour and bring them indoors. Cut cleanly and keep the display tidy as blooms open.
Deadhead Spent Blooms
19 Mar – 8 AprFrom 19th March - 8th April, remove faded flowers so the bulb puts its energy into next year’s growth rather than seed. Leave the stem and foliage in place, and do not tie them up or cut them back early.
Leave Foliage to Die Back
2 Apr – 28 MayFrom 2nd April - 28th May, leave the leaves for at least six weeks after flowering so the bulb can recharge fully. Clear them only once they have yellowed and faded naturally.
